J.T. Martin Contract "Mule Ear" Federal Trousers

from $270.00

These reproduction John T. Martin Contract trousers are copied in detail from a surviving pair that were worn by Lemuel Franklin (Frank) Liscom of the 14th Hew Hampshire Infantry. Liscom enlisted on August 11, 1862 and served with the regiment throughout the war, and mustered out on July 8, 1865.

These issued Army trousers were once a part of Don Troioni’s collection, but currently reside in the US Army Artifact Collection.

This example is almost completely handsewn, it displays “mule ears” pockets, two areas made with contrasting fabrics, and a wide spade-shaped gusset. These and all other minute details are faithfully copied in our reproductions.
