"Economy Version" J.T. Martin Contract "Mule Ear" Federal Trousers

$225.00

These are reproductions of an original pair of J.T. Martin trousers that were handsewn, however, we are offing an "Economy version” that is made with the same pattern, custom kersey, materials, and features, but are constructed with a mixture of both hand stitching and machine sewing. These remain first-class reproductions that simply lack the interior handstitched details that no one can see when they are worn.

The original surviving pair of trousers were worn by Lemuel Franklin (Frank) Liscom of the 14th Hew Hampshire Infantry. Liscom enlisted on August 11, 1862 and served with the regiment throughout the war until being mustered out on July 8, 1865.

The trousers were once a part of Don Troioni’s collection, but currently reside in the US Army Artifact Collection.
